I took this at the local cemetary and posted it only because I took the same pic twice and this image only showed up on one of them. What Do Ya Think?

Grainy objects are tricky. If you look at a grainy object like tree bark or rocks long enough, you're likely to see faces etc.. I visited the Mount Pleasant Presbeterian cemetery sw of Cherokee, Ia.. It's noted for having a tombstone that has the face of a Murderer on it. When I first went out there I took a picture of the tombstone, and showed the picture to my coworkers. They could all see numerous faces in the grain of the stone. Till one coworker who was familiar with the legend and the tombstone, told me I had taken a picture of the wrong tombstone. It was a good lesson to learn. I think humans are preconditioned to see faces in grainy objects. When I look at indoor/outdoor carpeting I always see faces. So does that mean the carpeting is haunted. I seriously doubt it. But on the flip side, your pictures show that you have a keen eye for detail. Seeing the picture in person my reveal more, share it with Mysti, she can tell you more than I can.

Timmyster, I have to agree, it's really hard to determine if you've actually captured evidence when the photo is on anything that is even slightly textured. Not to say that you didn't get a great cap, and you very well may have something there worth looking into further. But due to only having the 1 pic to look at and the fact that it is on a tree makes it hard to decide. But don't give up, Instead always keep trying and when your taking photo's ALWAYS get at least 2 of everything for comparing side by side. That way you also have it for records to look back on and research further if you actually do have a cap in that pic. Just a little helpful bit of advice, since I've been there also

LOL, It happens sometimes, and even we (myself & team members) forget sometimes. But like TT said it does show that you have a good eye. I did try taking a closer look, and I really wish I could say definately that you did or didn't capture something. I will say that it does look like there is at least an appearance of something being there, almost like a mist of some sort, but that's just my personal opinion, and I can't be certain. But keep trying, you won't always get positive results, but when you least expect it you might. But I do hope that you are taking at least 1 other person with you. Remember safety first, and no "solo" missions are advised.

Boy I hate to say it, but I took a second look at it tonight, and there is a face there that really jumped out at me. Which I didn't see when I first looked at the picture. It's so apparent now, tonight, that it almost seems like it might have been purposely re-edited. Though I don't see how it could have been messed with after it was posted. A lot of time it depends on each individual and their own frame of mind when they view a picture. Sometimes our senses are right on target and other times we totally miss the mark. I would want the opportunity to see the photo in person, and the ones you took before and after this one, if there are any of this same photo opportunity. I'm willing to say there is room for error with my first opinion. But I stand by my thoughts about grainy textures, and how they can fool our perceptions.
