Yesterday I marinated some cheap shoulder cuts of beef ( tough meat ). But marinated, the meat was nice and tender and tasted great! Even today the piece of steak we had leftover, was tender and tasty even though I ate it cold and straight from the frig.. We use the easiest marinades like Zesty Italian dressing, even Ranch dressing makes a good steak marinade ( The steaks come out of the marinade looking all anemic, but that grills away and reveals a juicy, tender, flavorful, tasting steak ), but our current favorite marinade is purchased at "The Dollar General Store". It's called Bulliard's Louisiana supreme Steak Seasoning. It' not at all spicy hot! Soy Sauce is the main ingredient, with herbs and other seasonings. If you are looking for something to try, give this product a try! What I 'd like is to hear about your favorite grilling recipes! Whether it's for beef, chicken, pork, sea food, or whatever!? Care to share? Please do!!!!

Oh I love steak marinated in Zesty Italian dressing. And its just as great on chicken. One of my favorite grill recipes is "Hobo dinners" they take about an hour but its a complete meal (as long as you can get everyone to eat them....arn don't eat most of the stuff) you need hamburger patties (homemade are best seasoned the way you like) cabbage (I use saurcrat) mixed veggies, and heavy duty aluminum foil. Tear your foil into large squares (so when folded they make a pouch bag) lay cabbage on the bottom of the pouch, then lay your hamb. patties over that, and drain and add your miced veggies. Season the mixture with your you choice of spices (I use Mrs. Dash) then close the pouches up into a shape like a giant hershey kiss. Put them on your grill on low to med heat and let cook for 45 min. to an hour. The juices from the patties cook the rest of the ingredients and if you like saurcrat then it adds an extra zest. But they are fantasic..... yummm (I think I know what I'm having tomorrow

We did something similar when I was in the Scouts. We used potatoes on the bottom, then Lamb Burgers, Onions chopped across them, & seasonings. But as I remember we always ended up burning ours. Kids, can be damn lousy cooks!
