Actually the break didn't affect the nerve, and they were able to repair the tooth in about an hour. There is some low level discomfort today. But that is probably due to the Dentist pushing down hard on my jaw during the repair work.

That's good that it didn't go into the nerve, those are the ones that seem to be really painful. Yea isn't it strange that dentist always seem to think they should use their "super powers" pressure techniques to strong arm your jaw while doing any work. No wonder people dislike dentist so much. I'm glad your feeling better today with it.

My brother-in-law was recently doing some home repairs. I was in earshot of his frequent drilling of holes. some holes required much force and length, and the shrill sounds coming from those holes gave me a headache, much like I suffered during my recent dental repair. It should be that in our world those kinds of sounds should never be able to be reproduced outside the Dentist's Office. ............................................ Aside from that Drac, What you been up to?

I aagree, some sounds should be left to only dentist... but I like working on home repair ect. so the tooth doctors need new tools, (LOL they should be banned from using drills)
Hey Drac, hows it going, long time no hear....how's your job?

Ive been doing good, im on 2nd shift right now, they needed the help. Looking for a new job in the Des Moines area though, i spend most of my free time in Ankeny area now got ahold of one of my best friends, hes been going thru a devorce ( his wife hated everyone) so weve been living it up since the split. the apt hes at is a hotspot for college bound kids( real close to the Dmacc center in ankeny) so always a few chicks around to hang with as well. on a side note, anyone know of any active spots in the Des Moines area? been having a hard time finding anything, and driving back to newton with the people from Ankeny is a pain 80+ mile drive round trip every 2-3 nights stinks hehe

Geez, Can't help you there. But that doesn't sound all that bad, if you enjoy doing the things you're doing, with the people you're doing them with. Aside from that Drac, how about letting Mysti add your Photo to your posts so the rest of can put a face to you.

I haven't really hung out in Des Moines for years, so as far as hot spots (party wise) I really couldn't say. As far as local haunts avoid "Lost Planet" its all urban legend. The best place in that area is near Saylorville Lake...it's an OLD cemetary just outside there (don't remember the name) but really weird. Other than that mostly all BS unless you head down to southern Iowa, but then you need to be careful, and know the area real well.

hehe dont need help partywise, ive had to break a few hearts as of late and say no i actually have a job and need to sleep ;D ;D
but was looking for paranormal activity. I think ive seen the cemetary, im drawn to them by nature, found 3 new ones around Newton this year with the little time i have had off.

Mysti what do you mean about: "unless you head down to southern Iowa, but then you need to be careful, and know the area real well. " Sounds scarey, is it?

Im assuming it may have to do with cults in the diff areas. Even West desmoines wooded area is supposed to be unsafe to go into at night. As a general tip, if your in the woods and you see a weird hallowed out trees, get the F*** out of there, theres a spot down south that cult members will actually hide in these trees at night waiting for people to come thru the woods. Or she could mean it would be a similir experince as when i got ran out of a Lurel Ia, lol. Went to the cityhall/Library to ask about local folklore and legends, got a cut and dry response, and had the town cop fallow me out of town, they thought i was a reporter trying to stir up trouble, but that only makes me wonder what has happened there even more rofl.

Scarey in the sense that NO EMS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, ect. will come to help you out if your in a certain area. There is a Cult that has layed claim to part of the area and it's best to just completely avoid it as to not get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. But there are some other places down south that are really awesome but really hard to find if your not familar with the area. Maybe we'll all have to get together and road trip down to some of those places next spring / summer.
As for the woods out in west Des Moines I think thats mostly teenagers that hang out there, along with out near the area they call "The Wall"...I don't think it's cult activity but could still be bad news as thats where they party and there's alot of drug activity (so that could be a problem)
