Friday night, Myself, Arnold & Boogie traveled up to Charles City for a mini investigation and also to meet Shawn.
We started the night off by traveling over to "Iron Hill" the area reported to be haunted by orphans. Shawn took us to the location and explained that all of the information was untrue.
There had never been any orphan trains that caught fire, infact there had never been any train mishaps on the tracks in the area at all, so the stories were prooved to all be false.
And as for the reports of children being heard playing singing at night in the area, Shawn had grown up just a few blocks from the location and stated that himself and his friends were most likely the children seen and heard.
He also stated that himself and his friends had been involved with burning toys ect. in the area, which most likely also explains the burned dolls ect. found in and around the area.
After leaving Iron Hill we traveled over to Chickasaw Cemetery, this is the old hanging cemetery. This is a really small and old cemetery with headstones dating back to the Civil War.
I did have Arnold running a recording while we were at the location but after reviewing it, found nothing whatsoever on the tape. So nothing of significance came of that.
After spending a little time in there we all decided to leave. Although the location of the cemetery gives off what some would consider an eerie feeling, I think we all agreed that the cemetery itself was actually really very calm and peaceful feeling.
Leaving Chickasaw and returning to Charles City we made our way back to Riverside Cemetery. This was my 3rd visit and the feeling inside was actually very calm up until we were about ready to call it a night.
I did have a couple of times when my attention was caught by the feeling of someone behind me and when trying to take pictures my batteries kept going dead in my camera.
Even when putting new ones in it, they would drain right off, and Boogies flashlight was draining fast also. The pictures I took basically haven't got any guaranteed evidence on them.
Although there are a couple in question from when I had these feelings and made the comments for the spirits to show themself. Two of the pictures taken after those comments do have Orbs in them.
As we were packing up to leave the activity seemed to start increasing and I watched as a strange light zipped across behind where we were standing. And Shawn saw some movement in the opposite direction.
I did take pictures of all those areas but other than Orbs there wasn't anything out of the ordinary that I've noticed so far, although I'm still going through them in full breakdown and detail.
A recording of our time there was alsop taken but I haven't had a chance to start reviewing it so far. If there are any finding on any of the pics or recordings it will be posted at a later time.
Basically for Arnold's first trip out for an investigation the night was pretty calm and quiet, although we had to call it a night early which may have had a different outcome could we have stayed.
But in general it was a good learning experience so that he could see that some investigations will be slow and uneventful. However the company of Shawn being with us was great and we all hope that he will be able and willing to join us again.
