I found this and thought it was really interesting.
"WAVERLY HILLS" This was originally opened in 1911 as a hospital for housing the victims of the Tuberculosis Epidemic. In 1924 it was apparent that the building couldn't house all of the those who were falling ill, and so in 1924 the building was added onto and in 1926 when it was completed it was 5 stories tall and could house 400 patients. Many of the records from that time have been lost but it was reported that 1 patient died per hour. The dead were transported through the steam tunnel now known as the body chute to the hearses waiting at the bottom of the hill to keep other patients spirits up and to avoid having them see the many deaths occuring. After the discovery of a treatment for TB the hospital was no longer needed and it's doors were closed in 1961. In 1963 it reopened as a Geriatric Center, but in 1980 the state closed the building, after several complaints of miscare and patient neglect. However the building has a history of being one of the most haunted in the county and several witnesses and past employees will testify to it. One encounter was so terrifying that the Security Guard working that evening left in the middle of his shift and refused to return, and several other's who worked also left. Reports from any Paranormal teams that have been able to investigate this area have also reported that the activity here is at some of the highest they've ever experienced and that some of their team members have actually been attacked.
